What it does not cover
The certificate states two limits, quoted here in full:
- “This certificate does not apply to any other products sold at this establishment.”
- “This certificate does not apply to foods prepared at this establishment once removed from this establishment.”
The bakery also carries products it does not bake itself: in its words, “we carry Sweets from the Earth brand gluten free and vegan products.” For anything on the shelves that Gunn’s does not make, please check the product’s own label or ask the bakery.
Dairy, and no meat
The bakery describes itself as “a Kosher Dairy Bakery” and says: “We do not make any products containing meat.” Asked whether it sells kosher meat, it answers: “Currently we have discontinued our Kosher Meat Service.”
Allergies
Separate from kashrut: “We are a peanut free facility but we do make products that contain almonds, walnuts, pecans and hazelnuts.”
Questions about a particular product are best put to the bakery: (204) 582-2364 or info@gunnsbakery.com.
